Ok I took the fan off of the water pump, and started the car without it to see if I still got the noise. It is still there and sounds even louder. the fan clutch is inside the fan correct?

Thanks, there is one more pulley on the a/c belt, but it does not sound like its coming anywhere close to that. Almost sounds like its coming from under the fuel rail area.

Check this sound out and let me know what you think. Its a 2001 325i with 139000. I have replaced belts and the idler and tensioner pulleys. Possible water pump?

Did you notice if your headlights were slightly flickering? I have similar symptoms and my lights will barely flicker, not noticeablee when driving but when I pull up to my garage door i can tell.

I found this in the front driver side (usa) wheel well under the air cleaner box. It was laying down in there. I want to put it back, but not sure where it goes or what it is.
