First off I'd go for a decent random orbital... Griots Garage's 6" Random Orbital works like a dream. Then I'd order some 6.5" Lake Country pads, what the pads specialize with is usually in the name....

Just wash your car regularly and wax it whenever you can.. Use a spray sealant (like Chemical Guy's V7) for upkeep of protection for a week or so.

All clay bars are basically the same.. Best value I've found is in Griot's Garage clay bar (if you already have clay lube), which is surprising because usually Griot's is overpriced.

I believe H&R has sport springs for e46 m3 convertibles... Should give you a decent drop. I'd recommend buying aftermarket shocks as well that pair nicely with the lowered springs.

Definitely go with a kit. If you want the comfort, lowered springs will make it a rougher ride, especially with stock shocks. I have H&R race springs with stock shocks and the shocks are holding up...
