Did the mechanic check the transmission fluid level? You can disconnect the connector and clean with MAF cleaner if you want. Could be but I don't think that is it.

That is good news for now, most common leaks are the pan, shift shaft seal, torque convertor seal and rear shaft seal, listed in order of commonality, there are two case seals but they rarely leak....

Any lubricant on the bushings? The bushings need to lock on the arms at the right place as measured. If they are able to move it would cause the vibes like worn out bushings, just a guess.
