It makes me sad when I think about the beautiful...

It makes me sad when I think about the beautiful aircraft that that engine used to power. There was nothing to replace it, and there will probably never be anything that replaces it.

Yes, they do. On a certified aircraft it done under a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) which is approved by the FAA. For example, a popular modification is to remove the 150 or 160 horsepower...

Yep, just follow the destructions from Beisan Systems. This is a really easy job on a Double Vanos motor. Just remember that the bolts that secure the Vanos Pistons to the camshafts are reverse...
