Hmmmm, sorry no pics, but I remember that the engine builder had to match the M54 ports to the M52 intake, using epoxy and some grinding. The two ports are totally different.

Its really quick to change the spring as the lower perch is slotted. Remove the strut bolt, lift and slide the perch, replace spring, et voila!
Also more height adjustment is available this way....
