You are safe using a 4 ohm speaker. But it will be roughly 3db quieter or power going to the speaker will be roughly half.

Bump again! FYI.. You need the sven do either.. Aftermarket head to factory amp or Factory head to aftermarket amp Or even if you just want to add a sub amp.

No headunits put out 50w RMS. To small of an area. No headunit or amp for that manner can make a $50 speaker sound like a $500. Especially the cheap paper ones that are in our cars.
