I had a suspicion the viscous fan clutch was weak on my car so bought a replacement (Meyle part - original was Behr).

I watched this video this morning and my car was behaving identically....

Yes dealer should have/be able to get the fluid. Best they check the green sticker on the transmission sump for the code to correct fluid.

Yes it is a good idea to flush after a few hundred miles...

Tight spark plug removal

Fairly recently I replaced the spark plugs on my 328i and a couple of the plugs were tight on removal. No thread was torn which was a relief but might it have been a good idea to have run a tap down...

Certainly is!! I would be concerned if there was sludge as it is almost impossible to remove properly. Then you worry that lumps might break off and block an oil feed or something nasty like that....
