I went with option 2.

Gutted up dynavin shell. 1280x800px IPS display + touchscreen.

Unfortunately the dyanvin is 16:9 so the 16:10 display doesn't quite fit, but made it anyways. Scaled down...

BMW dealers will have a entire set on hand in the workshop, $15 a piece. IIRC e46 had a few variations on the security nut for each car.

Anything not a D series bulb(D2S, D2R, D4S etc) is either fake, or re-based(genuine D bulb removed then moulded into a different base, in our case H7)

You much better off buying...
