Dont rule out a fuel just because you changed it few months back. It sounds to me like a fuel pump or filter.

You could have a vacuum leak (tear in one of your intake boots). Pull the plug on your MAF. If the car starts and doesnt sputter most likely a bad boot.

I would change out the voltage regulator on the alternator. $50.00 part ya might as well its not going to last much longer. Alternator replacement is a pain in the ass.
