That's cool Dave. I usually use mine for storm spotting, and helping out at county fairs. Oh and I am a general class, the only reason I got it was I was going to school for electronics at the time....

They are little boxes that you plug inline with the ballasts to fool the light control module so they don't flicker. They are cheaper than programming at a dealer.

There should be a retrofit option in their computer. I have done it a few different ways. But with your car the only option for the retrofit is bi-xenon which would leave you without high beams...

Clutch is more likely tho.

And yes the transfer case is essentially an open center differential.

Yep 08/2004 build. I have done s lot of research, and like you, all dead ends. I even talked to BMW NA to get a definitive answer. Sadly 05 xi's ended production just before updating the TCU to ones...
