Road trips fine!

I have driven some 300mi road trips lately and have had no problems. I would think that the wear and tear on components warming up and cooling down on short trips is much worse than a road trip.

I put a BMS JB4 & DCI on a 335i E90 and the car is so much nicer to drive even when I am not pushing it... I can't imagine going back to stock. Had 65k on the car. If it blows up, I'll post it here....

You will need a crossover if you retain the stock...

You will need a crossover if you retain the stock speakers.

The oem amplifier handled the crossover for the stock setup.

You will need to adjust the gain and possibly the eq for the rear....

Not sure why you would choose 4" components for the rears. Is this for your E46? Not familiar with Z3. The rear speaker cutouts in the E46 easily will take a 6.5" speaker.

Yes you will need the crossovers from the Kappas once you replace the amp. (Unless your amp includes an active crossover that will work for your Kappas)

Pull the grill off the rear speaker, unbolt the 3 8mm hex bolts. Tap into the speaker wire there with a line output converter. Connect the RCA's from the line output converted to your subwoofer.
