I think these are the larger M5 ones. I'll have both my new e39 mirrors and the e46 mirrors for sale in hand this afternoon, and I will take some side by side pics for comparison.

So wouldn't you know it, I ordered some M mirrors, and they turned out to be the wrong ones!

The manufacturer still needs to verify for me, but I think they are for a 3 series and not my 5 series....
