Thanks Doug. Found out that the VCG was not installed properly, hence the oil was still leaking. Corrected the install and voila, no more smoke..

Same issue, but...

Hi, I just replaced the engine gasket and PCV/CVV. The car is running great and not loosing any more oil, however the is some burn oil smell and fumes coming from the same place pin-pointed within...

Paraklas, my bad. I misunderstood. I was refering to the thermostat housing, which was my problem....that was fixed by swapping it. When it comes to the hose, I did not experience that issue at all...

Dude, I just received a new thermostat and that's the only piece that you'll need to change. GIven your description I think that if you replace the thermostat you'll be ok.

The red rectangle on picture one (pretty faint) shows where the piece (in picture two) broke off. Picture 2 shows what seems to be a thermostat and a spring...your help is very appreciated...
