I did what you did (with the engine not running). Got the 32 "01" codes. Then unplugged the device, plugged it back in and reset it. Took the device out. Started the car. The airbag light went off...

I also initially had the 02 code! I reset this and that's when the 01 code continually comes up. I will see if I get the 01 code 32 times (and then menu screen) as your unit did. Will report back...

Had the same issue

Just keep working the alternator on the upper bolt axis. Eventually you will get it. Took me a while also. Good luck.
