VMR wants me to buy a new rim and use that one as a spare lol. I'll attempt this later this afternoon. Is there a better way to wet sand so there are minimal scratches?

And guys would the gloss be caused by the compound? I had to remove some spray paint on my wheels so I used nail polish remover...did it the trick pretty easily and wasn't on the car for more than 5...

Will it ruin the finish though? Any recommendations company/product wise? Will sanding it cause scratches? It's just one part is like a gloss finish and the other part is a satin finish.

i have Matte black VMR VB3 rims. They are more like a satin finish then a matte black but i had a nasty grey scratch i buffed out/smoothed with rubbing compound (Mcguires ultimate rubbing compound)...
