My car had seen 15k since I bought it in 2011. Now at 76k. I have changed the oil 5 times. I think the issue is more what you do with the car when u turn it on rather than how long the oil just sits...

No one mentioned heat. Bad wheel bearing will cause the wheel to become hotter than the good wheel bearings. Go for a drive and then use a temp gun to measure the delta of the other wheels.
