Had transmission rebuilt 3+ years ago, a little after the warranty period.. Hopefully that's not the issue here.

The clicking sound or the idle sound? I got my transmission rebuilt less than 2 years ago and may still qualify for warranty, you think a transmission rebuild would cover the torque converter?
