It will do nothing to help reduce body...

It will do nothing to help reduce body roll/handling...for that you want a sway bar and even that will not improve handling but just reduce roll and increase response as a result.

The light will come on no matter what, when the computer senses an open in the sensor. You resetting the light should not keep it from coming back on again.

I have always reset it by turning key...

I'm wondering if the front LCA's from an M would bolt up to a non-M E46...

I will be needing control arms soon and it would be nice to get some extra reinforcement by installing the lower shield...
