Is it possible to blow up the tail light assembly? I was doing this with the lights on and it shorted out the whole driver side light cluster. The fuse is fine and the other side works just fine.

Does that mean there is a consensus the blinking problem is a ballast issue? I noticed there is a "clicking" sounds like a fuse / circuit resetting inside the car that coincides with the blinking....
