Dealership to the rescue...

Brought my car into an indie shop for the front control arm bushings and to diagnose and fix the top. (wouldn't open or close).

This shop assured me that they fix Porche and BMW tops all the time....

My indie shop... that has fixed many BMW tops, is stumped by my car... which is throwing a fault code of 31... they say there is no info in their books for 31.

Instead of pulling a fuse... wire in a hidden toggle switch, under the dash, within easy reach, but not obvious.

It doesn't have to be permanent... you can always remove it later.
