Broken #4 Plug, great lead!!!

I started out to remove existing plugs and re-torque to 18 ft/lb. I found the #4 plug cap came off in my socket, and after removing saw the ceramic part of plug had fallen into the metal (platinum)...

My 2000 E46 cracked a head last year. Installed a salvage head. Was performed by a master Indy mechanic in north Jersey. Car has been babied with only 58k original owner miles.

Used (hairline crack) BMW Aluminum Head, Valves, Vanos M52TU or M54 - $50 New Jersey

This head has a hairline crack, did not pull over quickly enough after water pump failed. The crack appears very repairable. Included with the head is the complete valve system, VANOS, etc...

M52 head same (identical) to M54

Hijacking thread (sort of). My 2000 323cic has cracked head. Salvage supplier shipped a 2004 3.0 X5 head and swears it is 100% interchangeable (sp?) with my head. My mechanic is not as confident....

Thumbs Up Tips after I changed Front Control Arm Bushings

June 2010 changed my own Control Arm Bushings on my 2000 323cic w/ 55k miles.

Dissassembly of all bolts (engine support and bushings) was very easy, maybe only 40-50 lb torque.
