Question for the ones that have had broken studs, can you replace it with the valve cover on, or you have to take it off again?...

No. it never goes away. it's maybe more obvious when cold but it never goes away even at operating temp.



Yeah it's a GM5, works perfect.

Well, as an update, I got a new CCV valve and hoses...

Nope, I rule that out, the belt tensioner was making a squealing noise that got me confused at first but that was replaced, the squeal was gone and the whislte is not coming from the belt/pulleys...
