For anyone intersted in the swap - yes it is easy. Whether it's worth it is very personal decision. It was worth it for me because they didn't bring 330 tourings to North America.

No, I was replying to the dude in the USA where we didn't get the 330 model. I meant a M54B30 swap, you can get a decent one that's been compression tested for less than $2K. (link in the signature).

It's surprisingly simple to swap the engine especially if your car is already manual. I did it with no previous experience.

There has to be someone in your area that swapped a 3.46 diff into their 330. They will have a spare 4 bolt input flange (I think I have one or two in my garage). Just post it in your regional forum.

Actually I think the e-flash (they send you cable and a data file and you flash it yourself) does it by using those slots. If you send the DME to them they do it on the bench and wipe it completely....

I built wooden boxes to use instead of jack stands. They are about 20x40 base, 20 inches tall.
With those I felt safe running the car and shifting.
