I've considered a short shifter but If I were to get one I think I would get an adjustable one.

Theres one from an outfit in germany that adjusts all the way from 20mm shifts up to the stock...

My guess would be camshaft/crankshaft position sensors went wonky.
Doesn't necessarily mean they are bad but you made them throw errors and you care went into "safe mode".

With a standard dyno having a margin of error in the 1-2% range that graph proves exactly nothing.
