+1 to everything you said but we also have to realize 99% of people intending to turbo their E46 non-M never carry through anyways so for now let's at least entertain the OP's idea/dream before...

If you don't have the tools, space, knowledge to tinker with the car frequently onced turbo'ed then should stay NA.

For that budget why not swap in a V8? More reliable and easier to maintain. A turbo kit is not something you just bolt on and forget about it. Especially the difficulty with tuning a turbo bmw motor....

All the indy BMW shops e.g. Northeast Motorsports, Motorworks West, or even Redline Speed Worx charge...

Liquid Moly 10W-60 or Castrol TWS 10W-60 are the only things that should be run in the S54.

Sounds like your rear trailing arm bushings are shot aka RTAB. Those being worn will make your car's rear feel loose when power is applied.

As for the brakes, yes that is normal, welcome to BMW...
