Well that would suck. It's definitely a grinding sound like I suck at driving stick. Very terrible to hear when you know you have no say in the matter...not a squealing sound.

That is correct. However, the reason is because....the manifold pressure changes with throttle position...there's a model for manifold pressure, which allows the DME to calculate the pressure drop...
