Look at the slant of the numbers. The E46 gauge cluster's font has a dynamism to it that the E90 doesn't have. Plus the E90 cluster has more ticks on the speedometer.

Mango, roughly 1/2" off. I've given the bushing a few good strikes with a rubber mallet to seat it as far as possible, and no dice. Both front wheels are already off :)
