No a blown diode usually means low voltage DC output at the expense of a high AC output. The bridge diodes rectify (supresss the ac sine waves to produce a good dc ripple) the ac output to dc.

That's huge. What you can do is get a test light and close the circuit by taking two t pins and sticking the fuse holder that's blown. Don't let them touch! Put electrical tape on one if u have to....
