I thought I mentioned it earlier - I did the same thing. I changed my OFHG, but didn't clean under it too much, and a lot of residue oil was still leaking down for about 1 to 2 weeks.

I actually spent a similar amount of time trying to get my alternator off, and after that, trying to put the alternator back on, so I don't think it's that unlikely that 7 hours had to be spent.
