I'm not sure if the input LEDs are true peak or some optimal rms level. I'm still somewhat worried since maximum input is the maximum signal level the unit can handle independent of the gain control....

The problem is that we have signals over 10 V peak from the BMW head unit. Other electronics like amps will just clip the signals if it's over the maximum input level independent of the input gain...

AudioControl Questions

What about balanced inputs of the new digital AudioControl products? The analog products have a maximum input level of 9.5 V rms or 13.5 V peak but the digital only have a maximum input level of 7.5...

Then it's floating ground and not balanced signals and you will probably need a VEN 4 or similar LOC.

But like I said previously, the same headunit do have balanced differential signals in a H/K...
