Did you take the scenic (PCH ) or the straight (I5) route? I do SF/LA at least once a year (wife's family in OC) and enjoy PCH more but it's an extra 3-4 hours each way.

Yes, add another quart. Oil and filter change requires 7 quarts. Use Mobil1 0w-40 which is the approved LL-01 oil.
