Guys thanks for all your help. I was able to use a simple c clamp and get it taken care of. looks like the issue was that the piston wasn't fully compressed.

Thanks for the replies. I'm pretty sure I did push the caliper back in, let me put the old pads in and try to push it in further.

It just seems that the pads combined with the rotor aren't going...

With or without jump starting it's the same...

With or without jump starting it's the same thing. It takes a while for it to start up and it only starts up with the gas pedal pressed / pumped. When I let go of the pedal the engine loses revs...
