Personally, I like the fact that there is no chirp. I can hear the mechanics of the doors locking/unlocking just fine. In wife's car, horn honks with every action. Kind of annoying, in my opinion.

I had mine up on a rack this week, as the front bushings have gone bad - again. Anyway, the rattle, which takes place only at 2k, was definitely an exhaust hanger. Problem solved

Good lord, that's ugly. I think you're screwed, but if you don't get a good answer here, I would suggest taking it first to a dealer, then to a body shop and getting advice on how to remove the glue....
