Animal inside my engine bay!

some kind of animal (rat, mouse, etc.) built a nest on top of my engine... and it chewed up the foam cover under my hood to create its new home.

what is this foam cover for anyway?

i drove down to LA last weekend... saw a maroon 325i on the 405... it was debadged, but i could tell... thanks to the big 325 stickers on the left and right side of his car. he also had reflector...
