Which way should the powerflex subframe bushes be inserted?

There is a bevelled side of each of the bushes and the other side has a lip. Which should be facing upwards? There is no indication on the box or on the bush itself which way it should be...

I went back to the dealer and spoke to someone more knowledgeable - turns out its # 61138365340. When you put it into realoem it doesnt come up on the brake fluid warning switch, but it does fit.

Sounds like the bearings on your water pump are shot, I would replace the water pump. You should do it ASAP as water pump failure can be catastrophic for your engine.
