The old filter came out with no orange seal on it and one stuck up in the tranny. The new one has two seals. Been driving a week now and it seems to be fixed, at least I can't replicate the failure....

So I did the filter and fluid change per the DYI. The filler plug was a bear, I ended up dropping the cross member right behind the trans (easy) and that allowed access with a 45 torx and 3/8 breaker...

I just did this. The local Autozone had a set of universal wrenches for the fans that you could borrow for a deposit. Luckily these tools had holes for a 1/2 inch socket to extend them, that helped....
