AFAIK, Amps can be whatever, the voltage must be the same (or close) Amps are drawn by the equipment, and pull whatever amps they need, no more no less.

I had an OEM alternator rebuilt, that was quite a bit cheaper, Euro Mechanic said he hasn't had issues with any he sends away to get rebuilt. (This is just another option)

Yeah run flats and a small profile tyre are killer to get on. That said, they should know their boundaries and refused the work if they weren't up to it, or knew they would have trouble.

I have a V5 I think, haven't had any trouble, I did have noise, but once you connect it right, the noise goes away. Everything else works fine.
