Help needed to remove rear panel on an '03 325i touring tailgate

Do lower arm control bushings in good condition, have no play at all? Or do all of them have a little play? Will probably go with OEM when I replace as I don't want the steering to be overly stiff...

Got the wagon 4weeks ago. The front end "clunk" from the bushings is present but not pronounced. I don't beat on it or drive it very hard but need opinions as to whether or not they should be changed...
