Suggestions for replacement car battery

I did a search on Car Batteries and is there anyone that can direct me to a finding a good replacement.

So far, I've used Optima Red Tops, but there's no compatible one for the E46.

I just checked my service records, car had 50k miles back in 2005. So I guess I don't drive it much, but my 99 Ford Explorer has 160,000 miles.

May I ask why not use copper tubing?

I believe the new GE ref that we ordered comes with a filter. That is replacable every 6 months.
