Well tapping was #1 spark plug being a little loose. So that's fixed lol. Some of the roughness was probably the low compression. We'll see what it does in the morning.

Very likely, I was throwing vacuum leak type codes all over last summer. After replacing a half dozen leaky rubber parts and a MAF I went back to the stock airbox from a cone filter and no more codes.

If it's an OEM replacement it shouldn't be a big issue other than the age difference in the bushings. Meyle is a BMW OEM supplier, so I wouldn't worry about it.

It's just a spring valve to keep air from sucking back into the system. I have them on my Z and they work great.
