I had the same problem as you when I had halogens. You can buy a capacitor to fix the problem, or do what I did and buy HIDs. I have the 50w HIDs and it doesn't dim as it did with the halogens.

Personally if i took the time to take the door apart, I would rather just replace the regulator altogether. Besides, I'm thinking a brand new regulator will last longer than the ziptie method anyway....
