BMW screw up a lot. E46 M3 rod bearings is just one that comes to mind and lack of rod side clearance and bearing clearance in the M3 V8 motors another.

Low torque is shot VANOS seals, easy fix. Do NOT use OEM seals as they are made from incorrect material. Beisan have the good ones.

As any 5W30 that should be used is nearly a 40W in viscosity you are two grades under where you should be. Look for some LL01 oil or at least ACEA A3, B3 spec oil.

It's cheap rubbish, the springs break with monotonous regularity and the shocks are as bad as it gets. Possibly OK for super smooth Autobahns but that's it.
