I went for it coded. They could not do it. Apparently the lcm is locked to the chasis number it was previously on ? He then tried again when I was watching and true to his word the error message...

I say switches but yes it's a complete replacement unit. Had to take off dash panel and unscrew module disconect the loom. Then refit.

Ahhh, well like i say mine has had a bump,, the inside of my current bumper has dots of silver, it obviously is not the bumper for that car so im guessing its a later bumper than what the aluminium...

sorry - its an e46 M3 bumper cover i have the chnace to buy - i don't think the one i have is fixable, it is cracked with a chunk missing, hit a high curb parking.

So everything should swap over...
