First of all this is NOT the same 'thud in the diff' problem - I've done my homework on that front! :) This is severe transmission backlash. So bad that it'll feel like somebody shook the car....

@mango: you were right! The chinese rotors are probably actually deformed. Just turning then by hand you can see there is serious wobble - and i can feel this while braking. I put the old oem rotors...

Found out about the pins :) how does one check them? They look okay.... I simply tighten them all the way and put the rubber grommet on the back.....

Yours warped too for no reason? Im fine trashing them and getting better rotors but just wanted to know the real cause of the problem as it may happen to the new rotors too!

I have textar pads and opparts rotors.

The last time it happened i got the rotors turned...

Also, I should add that I did the brakes myself and totally didnt care about lubricating or cleaning anything :\ Is it possible that the new pads are binding and made the rotors fail so fast?
