Just use pistons from M50tuB25 on your M52TUB28 and you will have 11.5:1 compression ratio, no machining required. Then get some ZHP camshafts and you will have one hot engine.

yes over rev. Gear was changed from high to low and engine was forced causing rods to stretch. Guys with S52 M3 do it all the time and M54B30 shares the same crankshaft and rods as S52us

Tech can be BMW certified and still lack experience. Tech most likely used too much force on the radiator warping it or causing damage during installation. Maybe he dropped it during installation....
