I went with the O'Reilly AGM unit for my E39. $140 or so, 5(?) year warranty. It looks to be made by East Penn (Deka), but didn't come with any vent plugs (ugh).

It's not the steering angle sensor that's off, it's the DSC. You can recode the Mk60 DSC fairly easily but I don't think anyone's worked out how to recode the Mk20 DSC in your 323.
