Well the needles aren't sold separately. So you'll need to grab them from a ZHP or M3 cluster. And at that point, I'd probably use the new cluster and sell the old one

I don't buy it. Other cars, with much more power and torque, don't rip up subframe mounts no matter how much you abuse them. The e46 rear floor is under-engineered, plain and simple.

That was a royal pain for me too. I ended up having to use a jig saw to cut the outer sleeve and then pull it out. Really soft metal thankfully.
