The only synthetic Dex3 type fluids I could find was Redline D4 and Mobil 1. I chose M1, the thicker of the two. I think Amsoil also makes a synthetic Dex3.

I went with Mobil 1 full synthetic which is more a Dex3 fluid. This tranny was designed with Dex3 type fluid. The original Texaco ETL fluid was Dex3 compatible. Dex6 is thinner.

Maybe the timing chain snapped or the timing gear broke loose? You could pop off the valve cover and have somebody turn it over. You should see the cams turning.
