Are Sport Edition wheels any good?

Tire rack has SPORT EDITION FOX 5 wheels for $160 each (18x8). i like the design, but im worried about quality. has anyone heard anything good or bad? thanks

depends on the width and offset of your wheels

if you have the right size and offset, you dont have to worry about anything. i had 19x9 with a 38 offset, lowered about 2 inches, and i never rubbed.. even with a full car load of people..

i respect there performace, but wouldnt be found dead in one....

i would rather drive a more expensive neck-breaking car like a BMW than a fast, tight handling *subaru*...

could be tire pressure... but its most likely...

its most likely you not being used to wider tires.. wider tires 'track' the road much more than stock tires. if the road is at all un-even, the tires will pull the car in that direction.. thats...

2-12" is the way to goo...

i wouldnt go 10's, not deep enough.. and i woudlnt go 15", to muddy.... 12's are perfect...

the dealer is just tyring to scare you...

almost everyone on this board has some sort of aftermarket lowering suspension... the only time you would ever experience abnormal tire wear is if the car wasnt aligned correctly.. even if you lower...

I have heard good things and bad things about waxing rims. i just got new rims for my Jetta today, and im not sure if i wanna throw a coat of wax on them to reduce brakedust build up.. let me know...

B&G sport springs.... i cant say it enough.. im soooo happy with the drop and ride quality of these springs.. i had a 2000 323i, and i took a chance with them ... i can honestly say that i couldnt...

the front and rear are lowered the same amount, it just looks lower becuase...

of the design and arch of the rear wheel well.. if you measure it, its the same... happens with all brands of springs.. even my B&G springs

if you change the suspension, it will void the suspension warranty.....

if you change the exhaust, it will void the exhaust warranty... ETC, ETC.. so dont worry about voiding any warranties...

replace the bushings...

take the car to the dealer, its a known problem with that year and model (i had a 2000, 323i also) its all covered under warranty. they will probably replace all the bushings and the control arms...
