Thanks for the reply - Honestly I'll most likely still drive like an old geezer in the snow even with any type of snowtires, so performance isn't much of a factor for me during winter. I blame this...

I'm not a big fan of the factory navigation trunk liner. I'm glad my coupe doesn't have it, especially considering the way i've fiberglassed my amp, I end up utilizing the width of the trunk more.

OMG!!! Wow, thank you for mentioning that. I never even thought to check mp3car for a sirius thread. I just remember XMPCR dying a quick death because of the timeshifting issue... That is so friggin...

I'm trying to remember what the model # is, these are the 2nd to the highest tier of JL 5.25" components (definitely not the Z models, which go for like a grand?)

I did pay about 3-400 for them,...

Thanks Gary!

I'm not quite certain which type of snow we have more of in Chicago, but I did read that REVO's led in overall traction over the WS 50's in the ice rink test.

Also, I heard that...

Blizzak Revo1 vs WS50's

Well, I've been pretty lucky for the last 3 years to go 3 winters in Chicago w/o having to buy winter tires - the stock all-seasons lasted me fairly well. Unfortunately now I think those tires have...

you could fit in a half din 5 band EQ in that area. Its really shallow, even tho it looks liek a full din space. I don't think anything substantial would fit in there w/o major rework behind the dash.

Actually, I believe its suggested that a single 500/1 drives a 10 w7, while a single 1000/1 drives a 12 or 13w7.

Using a single 1000/1 to drive two 12" w7s would be underpowering them.

Unless you are bi-amping your components (ie: sending a separate channel to each driver), only using the amp's built in crossover could still screw up your component.

You can probably get away with replacing the three way components in the doors (you're in a coupe, right?). You can leave the rear 6.5's and subs as they are.

I believe the HK's have a three way...

Re: Subs under seat

There's no room under the seat. They used to make bass shakers, which were "like" subs, but just vibrated based on the low frequencies going into it. These were great for home entertainment systems,...
